“Acne Info 101″

April 5th, 2008 by Administrator

If you think you’re alone in the struggle to ward off acne,
don’t fret. It seems that while not everyone suffers from it
severely, many-around 85% of people, go through it at some point
in their life.

Breakouts vary from person to person. So, instead of giving up,
get educated! Here are some tips that you can use to clean up
and eventually clear up that beautiful skin!

The skin, being the body’s largest organ, is always mending,
growing and changing to fit our needs and to keep us healthy. In
a way, it’s a type of bio-shell, surrounding you and growing
with you. In fact, you shed dead skin cells constantly. This
constant loss means that about every seven years, your skin has
completely molted itself in its entirety.

So, your skin maintains itself with proper cell function and
reproduction. In order for you to maintain this delicate
balance, you need to be sure to wash your face daily.

To all intents and purposes, you should actually wash with soap
and rinse well two or more times per day. Rinsing thoroughly is
probably the most important step, even if soap is not available,
especially after intense exercise.

Moreover, another way to take care of the skin on your face,
neck, back and shoulders is to be sure that you wash your hair
frequently. You hair releases oils constantly. This oil
naturally glides down the forehead onto the face, and from the
neck onto the back. This is a real concern during humid weather
and elevated outdoor temperatures.

Men really need to experiment when shaving. Using an electric
razor or a razor with shaving cream can affect the skin. Find
out which is the better option for you. Be sure to keep your
razors clean, lather-up well and use quality shaving cream
and/or soap.

In the same fashion, women who wear makeup also need to be
careful not to use products that irritate the skin. If you are
undergoing acne treatment, especially with topical products,
makeup might actually irritate the more. If you still feel the
need to use facial products during treatment, be sure to use
noncomedogenic (oil free) products.

Total Mind Body Fitness

April 1st, 2008 by Administrator

Six years ago my daughter then 28 was taking regularly a very powerful pain killer for back pain. Her doctors had to monitor her usage because it could become addictive.

One day I volunteered to go on a trip with a friend of mind to watch a demo of a simple machine that promised much with minimum output on the part of the user. When I tried this machine called a Chi Machine I had an amazing experience.

After just five minutes of use I felt the energy flowing through my body. Since I was a Reiki practioner I recognized this Chi or Bio-Electric energy easily. In addition I felt alert, energized, and focused. Other people at the demo spoke of the benefits they had got from using the machine regularly. This included one person who had suffered for years with back pain.

Enthused I went to my daughter and suggested that she invest in a Chi Machine. My excitement fell on stony ground. She suggested that maybe I was ‘conned’ by a slick MLM operator. She said that new immigrants were constantly being pushed to get into business with gimmicky products. She could not see how something so simple that moved your legs in a swing cycle could have such profound effects.

To cut a long story short… I went ahead and ordered a machine. When she saw I was going ahead my daughter offered to pay half of the purchase price to ease me of any financial let down if things went wrong.

Six years later we both own Chi Machines. For 2 years we had a network of over 100 users in 10 countries. My daughter quit using pain killers for her back pain because it disappered after three weeks of using the Chi Machine. I lost 15 lbs and four inches off my waist in one month. I have maintained this over the last six years. My daughter has maintained the same weight and dress size without dieting over the six year period. I have been physically fit and without major illneses despite my age.

We both use our machines daily. Our sleep has become deep and profound. We are mentally alert after use in the morning and relaxed in the evening. As we explored the world of energy healing we realized that our right and left brain co-ordination was way above avewrage. In short it is easier for both of us to access our intuition and creative abilities.

So I heartily recommend a twice daily 20 minute session with the Chi Machine. All you do is: drink a glass of water before and after the session, lie on a mat, put your ankles in a comfortable position, and let the machine swing you back and forth in a precise manner. After the session lie quietly for two to three mintues and let the energies flow freely through your body.

For twenty minutes your body gets a spinal massage, your mind is allowed to float freely between the left and right poles of your brain, your lymph and blod systems are allowed to clear themselves of toxins, each organ of your body recives the most efficient flow of energy, and you feel connected to the universal source.

That’s it. Total cleansing of body, mind, and spirit twice a day.
Six years later my machine has paid itself over many times in physical, emotional, and spiritual benefits.

So for those of you who find it difficult to keep a proper Yoga, Pilates, or Tai Chi routine perhaps this might be for you. Be warned though that you have to create a habit. I estimate that one month of use can get you into the habit.

Free Weights Vs. Exercise Machines

February 25th, 2008 by Administrator

Anyone who has ever been in a gym before is familiar with the
gleaming banks of shiny exercise machines. Coming in all shapes
and sizes, they are usually cause for the newcomer to the gym to
pause and ask, “What IS all of that stuff?”

Well, according to the price that the gym paid for any one piece
of that equipment, I certainly hope that it not only stimulates
your muscles, but also cooks your breakfast, washes your car,
and brings the kids home from soccer practice! Now the question
becomes whether or not those machines were worth the price, or
if you’d be better off doing a home aerobics video with a can of
soup in each hand….

Personally, I would advise you to get the low-sodium version of
the soup, serve it up alongside a tomato sandwich, and then go
buy yourself some free weights. Yes, that is just my opinion,
but it does come with some scientific reasoning behind it.

Natural movement vs. Controlled movement

One of the things that you need to remember is that when you are
exercising, you are training for LIFE. You may spend an hour a
day at the gym, but that still leaves 23 other hours for your
muscles to function without the aid of that fancy equipment.

Whenever you do any given exercise, the movement of your body
during that exercise is called the Range of Motion. The greater
and more difficult the Range of Motion, the more effective the
exercise is, because your body has to work harder to perform
that movement.

Let’s take a classic dumbbell bicep curl for our case study. If
you aren’t familiar with the movement, it is basically performed
by standing up straight with your palms facing forward, and a
pair of dumbbells held down at your sides. You concentrically
contract your biceps (also known as flexing your elbow) to bring
the dumbbells up to approximately shoulder level, and then
repeat the movement for a prescribed number of repetitions.

Let’s take that same muscle movement and do it using a bicep
curl machine. You sit down, brace your upper arms on a pad,
grasp 2 handles that are in front of you, and do that same fancy
elbow flexing movement to move the handles in an upward motion.
Pretty easy stuff so far, right?

Now let’s examine the muscles that are used in this motion. Wait
- I thought we were concentrically contracting the biceps? That
is correct, and if you are using the bicep curl machine, that is
pretty much ALL you are doing. For one, you are sitting down.
You know, like you did all day at work, and then in your car on
the way to the gym. Then, your upper arms are braced on a nice
soft pad to keep your upper body stable while you pull the
handles upwards. The machine has effectively limited the muscles
used in this exercise to the biceps, as well as the muscles in
your forearms and fingers as you grip the handles.

Let us now sidestep over to the weight room where the dumbbells
are kept, and once again get in the start position for a
standing bicep curl with the dumbbells. Notice the term
“standing”. You know, like you DIDN’T do all day at work, and
hopefully also did not do in your car on the way to the gym. So
before we even start the exercise, we are using more muscles
than we did on the machine - namely the leg muscles.

Now let’s pick up a 10 lb dumbbell in each hand. We’ve just
added 20 lbs to our body weight. What is keeping us from losing
our center of balance and falling clean over? The abdominal
muscles and the muscles of the lower back and spine. Now we are
using our legs, our abs, and our back. Flex those elbows and
start to raise the dumbbells. Now our center of gravity has
become a fluid state, and our legs, back, and abs all have to
constantly compensate to maintain posture. Oh, and the biceps
are also in on the action by this point, as are the forearms,
the fingers, and the shoulder girdle.

We now have the dumbbells all the way up and it’s time to start
lowering them again, via an eccentric contraction of the biceps
(also know as extending the elbow). What muscle group controls
the extension of the elbow? The triceps on the back of the arm.

Did you lose track yet? It’s okay if you did because you have
illustrated the point:

Machine Bicep Curl: Uses the biceps, forearms, and fingers

Cost: Thousands of dollars

Standing Dumbbell Bicep Curl: Uses the biceps, forearms,
fingers, legs, abs, back, triceps, and shoulders.

Cost: $40 for a good set of dumbbells that can be used for
dozens of other exercises

In a nutshell, free weight exercises simply USE MORE MUSCLES
than machines do, which make them more effective. Does that mean
that the machines are a complete waste? Absolutely not! In some
circumstances it is BETTER to stabilize the muscles being used
in any given movement. However, those circumstances are the
exception, rather than the rule.

So what do you do? Change up your routine, and incorporate free
weights as well as machine exercises. However, keep the machine
work to a minimum - say 20% of your total time spent working
with weights. Spend the other 80% developing your stabilizer
muscles, your sense of balance and coordination, and if nothing
else - just standing up!

After all, you can go home and sit down on the couch to enjoy
your post-workout snack. The bicep machine already brought the
kids home from soccer practice, remember?

Get A Total Body Workout With An Elliptical Machine

January 31st, 2008 by Administrator

Whether you work out at home, on some home gym equipment or you are attending a health club, cardiovascular exercise is an important part of your exercise regime. Elliptical trainers are gaining in popularity both in health clubs all over North America and as machines in people’s homes all over.

Why Are Elliptical Machines So Popular?

Elliptical crosstrainers have gained popularity so quickly because they are extremely beneficial exercise machines. If you are looking for a highly effective fat burning workout, than an elliptical machine is the piece of equipment for you. When you walk into your health club you will be faced with a number of different choices for cardio equipment. What should you choose? If you are looking for a complete body cardio workout that is low impact than an elliptical trainer is for you.

What Does Low Impact Mean?

Elliptical trainers are low impact because your feet do not have to leave the foot pads during the workout. When you workout on a traditional treadmill your feet will repeatedly lift from the pad and strike it, causing impact on your joints. The joints that are affected with an impact form of exercise are usually the knees, ankles, hips and back. With an elliptical machine you still get the benefits of other impact machines but with no impact thereby saving unnecessary wear and tear on your joints.

What About Losing Weight?

In today’s time crunched society everyone is looking for a quick fix. More and more overweight people are looking for an easy solution to lose weight and keep it off. The truth is that there is no magic pill that you can take, a sensible diet and regular exercise is the only solution to the problem of obesity. If you need to lose weight then you will need to engage your body in aerobic exercise. Aerobic exercise gets the heart pumping faster and it allows your body to burn calories faster and more effectively. The elliptical crosstrainer is a very effective machine that allows your body to work harder, faster and burn more calories.

Elliptical trainers burn calories faster because you are using both your arms and your legs during the workout. By using both arms and legs you are utilizing two major muscle areas instead of just one as you do with steppers or treadmills. Because you are engaging more major muscle groups you are optimizing your energy expenditure which burns more calories. And as we all know, if you want to kick start fat burning, you need to use calories.

Total body exercise is beneficial because you will be able to sculpt and tone your legs, buttocks and hips as well as your arms, chest and back. By using your entire body in an aerobic activity you are able to burn calories faster while you are toning and sculpting all of those muscles.

What About My Bones?

In recent years there has been a lot of information in the health world about bone density and osteoporosis. It has come to be known that in order to prevent the disease or slow its progress you should engage in weight bearing exercise. This is particularly important for women who face a greater risk of this bone disease.

Generally if you want to perform weight bearing exercise, it will take the form of using free weights or weight machines in the gym. But you can also perform a cardiovascular exercise that is weight bearing exercise as well. With elliptical machines you are not only getting an excellent cardio workout, but you are also getting a weight resistant exercise as well which helps to build bone density.

Is An Elliptical Challenging Enough For Me?

Sometimes, more advanced exercisers will worry that they will soon out perform their gym equipment and require something more challenging. This is not a concern with an elliptical trainer because you can adjust the tension and resistance on the machine allowing it to grow with the individual.

Most of the better elliptical trainers also have on board computers which allow the user to set different programs each time that they work out. You can choose from different weight loss workouts, and interval workouts. Most machines have between six and eight different programs in the on board computer.

Who Can Use The Elliptical Trainer?

The wonderful thing about the elliptical exerciser is that it is easy to use and everyone, regardless of their personal fitness level can use it successfully with very little training. Because the machine simulates the action of walking and running combined with skiing and cycling it is a workout that appeals to many different people.

The elliptical machines are great for pregnant women who want to remain active through their pregnancy as well because the workout is a low impact workout. And because it is low impact it also appeals to older people who have joint problems as well.

What Is The Bottom Line?

The bottom line is that the elliptical trainer provides an excellent total body workout for people of all fitness levels. Whether you want to lose weight or just get an effective cardio workout the elliptical cross trainer is an excellent choice.

Mixed Signals–More on Heart Monitors

January 28th, 2008 by Administrator

As I mentioned before, heart monitors are an excellent source of
cardio data to help manage your workouts. This morning I was
doing some cross training on a large stair stepping machine (you
can get a great workout from these machines–use them for cross
training once or twice a week and try not to hold onto the rails
so you maximize your exertion level and core balancing) and I
was, of course, wearing my heart monitor.

Next to me on a similar machine was a younger and quite fit
woman who had been working out there when I arrived. After about
10 minutes into my routine I glanced down at the monitor display
on my wrist and noticed a steady read out of 155 beats per
minute. This was really high for the level of exertion that I
was putting out and I immediately wondered what was going on.
Had I lost that much fitness level in one day? Impossible. But
the heart monitors are very accurate. Occasionally, the monitors
give out a brief inaccurate reading, but they almost always
correct quickly and if you see a steady readout over time, it’s
normally correct.

Then I glanced at the person next to me and noticed she was
wearing a monitor as well. So I was obviously picking up the
signal from her transponder on my receiver. I switched my wrist
receiver to the other side and immediately started reading a
more normal 138 beats per minute for that level of exertion. I’d
experienced a similar phenomenon in spinning class sometime ago
but had forgotten about it.

A rough guide to your maximum heart rate is to subtract your age
from 220 and some suggest that you should use a slightly higher
figure than 220, say 225, if you are a man. This is only a rough
guide and there are more sophisticated ways to gauge your
estimated personal maximum heart rate. Once you have a feel for
your max heart rate, a monitor is going to tell you how
strenuous a workout you are getting at any one point in time.
This is incredibly valuable information. The heart monitor is
invaluable for circuit training and interval training. Generally
speaking, getting your heart rate up is going to give you a more
complete workout and burn more calories. As always, check with
your doctor before starting a workout program and discuss your
target heart rates with her.

So, if you are working out in close quarters with someone, make
sure that signal you are reading on your heart monitor is really
coming from your own heart.

The 6 Most Common Excuses That People Use For Not Purchasing Home Exercise Equipment And Why They Ar

January 17th, 2008 by Administrator

Personal fitness has never been more popular. This might be
because of recent health scares linked to obesity. It could also
still be due to the pressure and influence of fashion magazines
that only show pictures of sleek, attractive women and strong,
muscular men. It may even be driven by the simplest of desires
to loose weight, keep fit and healthy.

Whatever the reason, many recent studies have already shown that
more people then ever before are getting involved in personnel
fitness and more of them are choosing to purchase home exercise
equipment in order to achieve their goals rather than joining a
gym.

So what is stopping you from moving out of the gym and joining
the home exercise revolution? Here are six common excuses that
many people use for not purchasing home exercise equipment and why they are wrong.

Excuse 1: Home exercise equipment is too expensive.

It is true that some home exercise equipment is very expensive.
Of course, there is the very cheap end of the exercise equipment
market and many people are tempted to purchase products from it
thinking that they are saving money. But we would not recommend
this as cheap exercise equipment is typically poorly made and
will rarely keep pace with your exercising needs as your fitness
starts to improve.

The price of good quality home exercise equipment is falling
sharply and the range of features fitted as standard to help
with your exercise routine is increasing rapidly. In the future,
as home exercise equipment becomes more popular, this trend is
sure to continue.

If you are a member of a gym, you are probably already paying
out hundreds of pounds a year in membership fees. Could your gym
fees be better spent?

Excuse 2: Going to the gym is more convenient.

People today are living increasingly busy life styles. How many
times have you had to miss a lunchtime training session at the
gym for an important meeting at work or been exercising in the
evening as it is the only time available to you when you could
be out enjoying yourself?

With home exercise equipment, you can literally get out of bed,
perform your exercise routine, and dive in the shower all before
you go to work. Alternatively, use your exercise equipment in
the evening to unwind from the stress of the day.

Your home exercise equipment is always there when you need it
and at the times when it is most convenient for you to use it.
No more time wasted driving to and from the gym or waiting for
the item of exercise equipment you want to use to become
available.

Excuse 3: I do not have the space.

Another common objection to home exercise equipment is that
there is not the space available for it. Sometimes, this can be
a valid objection. If for example, you live in a small flat and
will have to move the table and a heavy sofa to get sufficient
floor space to set up your exercise equipment, then perhaps home
exercise equipment is not for you?

But if the issue is where to put your home exercise equipment
when it is not in use then this is no longer such a problem.
Most manufacturers can currently provide good home exercise
equipment that can be folded up after use. And as exercising at
home becomes increasingly more popular, home exercise equipment
is going to become even more compact and easy to store.

Excuse 4: I need my fitness coach!

Many people need the guidance and motivation of a fitness coach
to keep their exercise routine on track. But if 6am in the
morning is the most convenient time for you to exercise, where
is your fitness coach?

The Internet now provides you with the solution. Web sites exist
today that you can subscribe to for a small fee and obtain a
complete exercise program tailored to your exact personal needs
and current fitness level.

And why stop there. Everyone knows that exercise is not the only
thing that is important for a healthy life style! Diet matters
to. So why not get the help of an Internet nutritionist as
well?

You then get a complete exercise and diet program individually
tailored to your needs at a fraction of what it would cost from
a gym along with all the personnel advise and motivation you
could possibly need available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Excuse 5: I need entertainment when I exercise.

Boredom is one of the most common reasons why many people give
up on regular exercise. Some therefore say that they prefer the
gym because of the entertainment available there. They can run
on a treadmill while watching their favourite soap or cycle an
exercise bike listening to current chart hits.

But technology is advancing at an incredible pace these days.
Horizon already sells a treadmill with a built in monitor on
which you can watch TV, DVD’s or listen to your favourite music.
Very soon, other manufactures will follow and most home exercise
equipment will include such technology.

Excuse 6: I need company when I exercise.

Home fitness equipment does not only have to be for adults. What
better way to stay motivated and healthy then to involve the
whole family? How about purchasing a garden trampoline, outdoor
basketball system, football goal, skate board ramp or tennis
table.

All are good ways of exercising and getting all the family
involved so everyone can start to live a healthier life
style.

Weight Loss Motivation - How To Find It And Keep It!

January 13th, 2008 by Administrator

Everyone who has ever tried to lose weight knows that the really
big issue is motivation - where do we find it, how do we keep it
going, and what do we do when it slips!

To be successful at losing weight you must find your own
motivation. More importantly, you must keep motivated, even when
times get tough! Read through the tips and tricks and other
resources below to help you find and maintain your motivation.

* Set your goals and work out a realistic timescale for
achieving them. Commit to them 100%.

* Put it in writing! Scribble down in as much detail as possible
why you need to lose weight, how much you are going to lose,
when and how. The more you commit to paper the better. Carry a
notebook around with you and use it to record thoughts and
ideas, recipes, quotes - whatever will inspire you and keep you
going.

* Tell a friend or member of the family and ask them to help you
stick with your plan.

* Remember that you are losing weight and improving your health
“one day at a time”. You can stick at anything for one day!

* Don’t dwell on the junk that you are taking out of your diet.
Instead, celebrate the healthy foods that you are putting in.

* Make bullet points of your main motivational issues and write
them on a stack of cards. Display the cards where you will see
them regularly - on your bathroom mirror, in your purse, in your
car.

* Create a “mantra” to repeat to yourself when times get hard.
For example, “Every day I am improving my health, my looks and
my well-being. I am getting stronger in every way.”

* Consider asking for sponsorship from friends and family for a
good cause. Perhaps you can raise money for starving children
while you get your own eating under control?

* Start a file or scrapbook of articles, recipes and any other
interesting titbits you read.

* Start another file of fashion and wardrobe ideas. Plan what
you will need to buy when you shrink a size or two!

* Buy a piggybank and fill it up with a particular sum for every
pound you lose. You can use it towards your new outfits!

* Find someone to share the experience with, and laugh your way
through the tough times.

* Learn from other successful slimmers. Read other people’s
stories, join a club, find a chat room, or start your own email
group.

* Motivate yourself with our collection of weight loss quotes,
available free to subscribers to the weekly Losing It My Way
ezine.

Importance of Controlling Your Mind

January 3rd, 2008 by Administrator

Since ancient times, the human philosophers have realized the
importance of mind in governing the human affairs. They knew
that a person’s external circumstances were the result of his
internal thoughts. They were aware that if the person thought
riches, he would be riches, while the thoughts of poverty,
success and failure would produce the corresponding effects in
the person’s circumstances. Today, modern science has
acknowledged the truth of these findings. Hence it becomes
crucial for a person to control his mind.

Yoga has specific techniques which deal with the science of mind
control. We will study the nature of mind as is recognized by
yoga in this chapter. Shankaracharya has defined mind in four
different ways as per its functions: manas for the job of
resolving and doubting; buddhi for the decision and judgment;
asmita for the consciousness of its individual existence and
chita for remembering the previous experiences. Mind is a vast
collection of thoughts and traces of the past experiences. When
you are born, your mind is the collection of samskaras collected
over the previous births. Those samskaras, whose fruits have
already been enjoyed have been wiped out. But as you grow up,
new samskaras are being added continuously due to various acts
performed by you from birth to death. This translates into the
law of karma which states that the events one faces in his life
are the results of the activities done by him in the past and
his mind at birth contains the samskaras from his previous
births. Our

Yoga recognizes five factors, basic to the mind of every person.
They are called kleshas because they are the forefathers of
every human misery. They are: avidya which is the false
knowledge or ignorance of one’s true self in relation to the
objects; asmita or ego feeling since in yoga, body and soul are
two different aspects; raga is the liking of pleasurable
experience; dvesha or aversion to pain; abhinivesha or fear of
death. Yoga understands the human behaviour from the perspective
of these five qualities which are assumed to be present in a
person since birth and are considered as the impurities of the
mind. They make a person unstable and agitated. Hence yoga has
given way of dhyana and pranayam to cleanse your mind.

The Dangers Of Trans Fats And How To Know If You’re Eating Them

December 16th, 2007 by Administrator

Trans fats, or Trans Fatty Acids, are a vegetable-based fat that
is made when vegetable oils are hardened for use in shortening
or margarine. Trans fats are found in baked and fried foods,
such as cookies, fried fish or chicken and donuts, which are
prepared using the hardened vegetable oil.

The problem with eating Trans fats is that it contributes to
clogging of the arteries, increases the presence of low density
lipoprotein (LDL), which is the “bad” cholesterol, reduces the
presence of high density lipoprotein (HDL), “good” cholesterol
and also contributes to other serious health conditions
including heart disease and Type II diabetes.

Food manufacturers use Trans fats instead of healthier oils
because it is less expensive, imparts a better flavor, and
increases the shelf life of the products that contain them.

Up until recently, food manufacturers were not required to list
Trans fats on the product labels. As a result, consumers did not
know how much of the Trans fats the products contained so they
were not able to make healthy decisions.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently enacted a
rule which requires food manufacturers to list the presence of
Trans fats on the nutrition labels. Although the FDA did not set
any limits as to the percentage of Trans fats that are allowed
to be present, they did say that it should be “as low as
possible. These labels first started appearing in 2006.

Experts believe that there are nearly 50,000 products on the
market that contain Trans fatty acids. While the term “Trans
fats” might not specifically appear on the nutrition label, you
will see terms such as shortening and hydrogenated or partially
hydrogenated oil. The closer to the top of the nutrition label
these Trans fats appear, the higher the percentage that are
present.

Sometimes in an effort to eat healthier, we end up digesting
Trans fat without realizing it. Stick margarine is a good
example. Many people switch to margarine to reduce the
quantities of real butter that they consume. Stick margarine,
however, is as close to 100% Trans fat as you’ll find in a food
product. The end result is that we think we are doing our body a
favor by “eating healthy” when, in truth, we are treating it
worse than if we continued eating butter.

Consumer health groups have begun to pressure food manufacturers
to remove Trans fats from their products altogether. Some have
gone so far as to file law suits demanding that a particular
product be removed from the shelves unless Trans fats are
eliminated from the ingredients.

As awareness levels rise, you can expect to see Trans fats all
but disappear from the list of ingredients in any product where
the manufacturer wants to avoid the potential legal problems and
negative publicity of cooking with Trans fats. Food giants Kraft
and Frito Lay, major users of Trans fats, have already publicly
committed to reducing the level of Trans fats in their products.

Energy Flow(Qi) Cultivation Methods:

In the midnight, a little while of still and quiet
sitting(without thinking) is substantial to generate Qi in your
whole body.

Whenever you are free, stir your tongue in the mouth, touch
your palate with your tongue, wait for the saliva to be
produced, gargle with the saliva in the mouth, gulp the saliva
down with a gurgling sound, meanwhile quickly draw in a breath
of fresh air through your nose and mentally direct(envision,as
if you see) the fresh air accompanying the saliva(regarded as an
energy flow) to flow down to “Dantian” (the point 2″ below the
navel inside the underbelly—> href="http://www.sinoherb.info/ycj1.jpg" target=_blank rel="nofollow">see
picture1 ), hold on for a little while. Now slightly
contract up your anus, mentally direct the energy flow to go
backwards to “Weilu” , then to flow upwards through “Jiaji” and
“Yuzhen”, and finally to arrive at “Niwan” ( href="http://www.sinoherb.info/ycj2.jpg" target=_blank rel="nofollow">see
picture2). Now this is a completed circle. So go round and
begin again.
Frequently doing this exercise will make you
healthy, strong and energetic. And you will have a sensation of
the energy flow flowing in your body.
