Japanese Restaurant for Lunch and Dinner

Takumi is the place to visit if you are in the mood for a culinary masterpiece. This Melbourne Japanese restaurant is the best of its kind. Not only is the food top notch, but the design of the restaurant creates a relaxing and pleasurable atmosphere.

Being the only Japanese restaurant in Melbourne that serves Wagyu beef, you can rest assure that it will be great. If you don’t know what Wagyu is, it is a top grade cut of beef. It is so tender and juicy, it can almost melt in your mouth. This beef is the main ingredient in many dishes offered in the restaurant. Many people enjoy it as a burger, grilled and marinated with Sukiyaki sauce. Personally, I recommend trying the Wagyu Yakiniku Lunch Set. The beef is served raw and is cooked on a charcoal grill. It is also served with vegetables and a complimentary glass of beer or wine. Not only does this taste yummy, but being able cook it yourself adds an added touch of magic.

This Japanese restaurant may specialize in Wagyu beef, but that is not the only delicacy it has to offer. The bento box is also a well-known lunch option among regular visitors. The restaurant offers several choices on the main entree for the bento box. A popular Japanese entree is Gyoza. These pan fried dumplings are super good and addictive. I promise you cannot eat just one. If you love seafood, order yourself the Unagi Bento Box. Unagi is smoked grilled eel and is a very popular and delicious Japanese restaurant dish.

The interior decoration of the restaurant offers a very zen-like feeling. You will feel right at home when dining here. The sleek tan chairs and subtle decorations have a sedating affect and allows you to feel like you are having a quiet meal at home, even though you are in the presence of other patrons.

Overall, Takumi is a wonderful Japanese restaurant. From their delicious menu offerings, to the many different choices of Saki, this Melbourne Japanese restaurant is number one on my book.
