Women find shopping irresistible and love to indulge in it when on a Caribbean tour. If told that it duty-free shopping then they are all the more glad. Jamaica has a number of ports, and if one takes a walk along these ports one will find numerous shops filled with clothes, accessories, perfumes, cigars and jewelry. The internet is a good place to look for duty-free shopping places in Montego Bay.
The cruise terminal in Montego Bay is most popular with visitors who just love the duty-free shopping that is available there. Most people head for the City Centre, which is a duty-free shopping area, and purchase gold, leather goods souvenirs and perfumes to take home. They also find the Downtown MoBay areas with places such as Cardow’s with its plethora of goods, and Golden Nugget with its fabulous jewelry, watch and perfume collections a great place to visit.
Making purchases in the duty-free shopping areas at the airport is a good idea. There are a number of shops and stores there which offer a wide range of products. One would agree though that the older shops were more reasonably prices and one could pick up some bargains there especially French perfumes. Those looking for fashionable and chic buys would find the Half Moon Plaza a great place where duty-free purchases can be made. This Plaza was built for the convenience of guests staying at the Half Moon Resort. This mall has some large duty-free stores and upscale boutiques. Shops such as Envy, Rivoli, and Rita Simpson’s Resort Wear and Gift Shop sell some stylish branded goods, cigars, jewelry and local artwork.
