March 23rd, 2009 by Administrator

Night shifts have always been an area of concern for the HSE officers due to evidence indicating that they have detrimental effects on employees’ health. What Do You Favor the Spanish National Lottery or the European Lottery

March 20th, 2009 by Administrator

In Dec 2008 elotto added the Spanish lottery to it’s product range, granting participants globally a immensely improved chance of partaking in this immense Spanish lotto prize fund.

If it’s the first time you have come across the Spanish Lotto, let me highlight simply how all-important this lottery is to the large majority of the Spanish population. The Spanish lotto has been a national obsession in Spain for a very long time with enormous interest generated by the Christmas draw every year. Its a fact that ninety-eight per cent of the population play this Spanish National lottery each Christmas.

There are a couple of fundamental sound reasons why lots of Spanish subjects join in the Christmas El Gordo lotto draw.

Firstly, on that point is the incentive of the largest lottery prize fund of any worldwide lotto game - with over 2 Billion Euros! Secondly, there are in excess of 13,000 money prizes to be won. Finally, the probability of picking up a money prize in the Christmas lottery draw are a extremely attainable - 1 in 6.

With the amount of interest thats given to the Christmas Elgordo lottery draw, a good deal of people are unaware that there is five extra Spanish Lotto draws annually too. These lottery games occur in May, July, January and November and March. Despite the fact that these 5 games do not feature the enormous prize fund of the Christmas lotto draw, they are big all the same, ranging from seventy eight million Euros to six hundred & sixty six million Euros. In addition, these games provide almost three times as many prizes as the Christmas lotto draw plus betting odds of collecting a money prize of an splendid one : three.

The Christmas Spanish lottery works in a different way to nearly all other world-wide drawings. A whole lottery ticket ‘billete’ is very costly, costing 200 Euros. However, these lotto tickets are broken up into ten ‘decimos’ (tenths) costing twenty Euros each.

When buying your lottery tickets you have the choice of buying 1 decimo, a complete ticket, or a part of a lotto ticket. If you do not purchase the full lottery ticket, someone else will buy the remainder of your lotto ticket. For example, if you buy two decimos, somebody else purchases three decimos and somebody else buys five and your lottery ticket wins one thousand Euros, and then you will collect 200 Euros, 300 Euros and 500 Euros respectively. Owing to the expense of purchasing a full lottery ticket, it is not uncommon for families and friends to incorporate their lotto cash and all buy a separate ‘decimo’ 10th.

Choosing the Correct Printer Cartridge Is Important

March 20th, 2009 by Administrator

A printer cartridge is an essential component of a printer, since they contain the necessary ink that is spread on the paper during the printing process. A good quality printer cartridge ensures you always get good quality images.

The the finished result largely depends on the smooth and continuous flow of ink. So, once the flow of ink slows down, to change the printer inkjet cartridges. Various types of inkjet Printer ink cartridges are available in market. These include high priced printer inkjet cartridges manufactured by original equipment manufacturers such as Dell, Epson, etc., as well as non-branded compatible or re manufactured printer inkjet cartridges.

Workings of Print Inkjet Cartridges

Most printers, including Canon and HP, use thermal inkjet while printers manufactured by Epson use Piezoelectric Inkjets. The purpose of both types of inkjet is to ensure the smooth supply of ink
In thermal inkjet printer cartridges, each ink reservoir partition contains a heating element that responds to the signals provided by the printer by warming up. However, if the ink in the Your print cartridges is not not the best quality, the print will not produce a smooth result. The ink in the printer inkjet cartridges also acts as a coolant for the heating elements. If it dries up, this can result in damage to the printer head.

Types And Pricing Of Cartridges

Although most printer manufacturers recommend their own inkjet printer cartridges, several cheaper options are available. Inkjet Printer Ink toners and cartridges manufactured by these OEMs are generally quite costly, so many users prefer to use cheaper versions that are not only compatible with their printers but also provide good quality printing.

The cheaper inkjet printer cartridges are brand new products, with new components, and the same quality as do OEM products. Another option is the professionally remanufactured inkjet printer cartridges that have been used once, emptied, cleaned and refilled to match OEM standards.

Driver Profile - Michael Schumacher

March 18th, 2009 by Administrator

Date of birth - 3rd January 1969
Country - Germany
Team - Ferrari

Michael Schumacher started his racing, as so many others, with karts and was obviously helped by the fact that his parents ran the Kerpen circuit. His karting career was successful and soon he moved into the German Formula Konig series.

For more driver profiles and anything else to do with Formula One click here.

Michael moved up to Formula 3 in 1989 following the success he had in his first season with cars. In his first year he finished runner-up in the German series. He stayed one more season which allowed him to win both The German and the Macau title and this is where the battle between himself and Mika Hakkinen started.

Schumacher and his 1989 rival and fellow countryman Heinz-Harald Frentzen, among others, were chosen to represent the Mercedes Junior Team in the 1990 World Sports Car.
By the way; Heinz-Harald’s girlfriend at that time is now Michael Schumacher’s wife.
Instead of moving to the F3000 series he stayed for a second season of World Sports Cars in 1991. While he was in Japan for this series he decided to have a go at F3000 and so raced in his first ever F3000 race, coming second. This caught the attention of Eddie Jordan who decided to give Schumy a run in Formula One.

He debuted in Belgium in 1991 where he qualified 7th but retired on the first lap. He was promptly bought by Benetton and closed off the season with them. In his first season in the top formula of racing he finished in the points 3 times. He won his first race in 1992 and the rest, as they say, is history.

Finishing third in the 2005 season was pretty poor and he seems to have lost motivation as well as a superior car. With a new partner in Felipe Massa we hope to see him mounting a serious challenge against the new champion Fernando Alonso.

Ontario Fishing Trips

March 15th, 2009 by Administrator

Ontario Fishing Tips

Getting ready

1. If you’re bound for a fishing trip to the North Country, expect to spend much on transportation, your outfit, licenses and permits. For a lot of people, the trip’s highlight will be fishing. For this reason, you should get yourself a new line on your reel.

2. Protect your eyes while fishing and you should only invest in a good quality pair of polarized sunglasses, as it will not only aid in protecting the eyes, but will also provide superior visual penetration into the water.

3. Keep mosquito repellent as well as plastic worms in a separate compartment, making sure it is out of the tackle box as both items do contain lacquer solvent that can soften the paint of any metal, plastic, or wood lure and the soft paint may never harden.

4. Always keep a small file or a small stone handy to be used to keep the hooks needle sharp.

5. Learn how to tie good knots. Practice carefully until such time that you are already certain that they will hold.

General fishing guidelines:

1. Don’t fish with any bait in just one spot for more than 10 casts. If, by those casts, nothing changes, it’s time you change location.

2. Properly position the canoe, not too close or too far from the fish. If you are too close, you will frighten the fish. If you are too far, you can not accurately place the lure in position.

3. When doing top water fishing, do not set the hook until you can really feel that the fish is on the lure, being very careful not to surprise the fish. Just keep on working the lure cautiously towards you.

4. Be very patient. Just be certain that you know you are in a suitable fish-producing area.

5. Always be quiet, as sound can travel through the water better than through the air.

6. Release carefully, instantly and safely any fish that you do not plan to eat. Preservation of Ontario’s fishing resources is essential and needed for fishing to continue thriving.

7. While waiting for your catch, or when you do catch anything or none at all, look at the scene behind you, take a deep breath and enjoy the only lakeland wilderness in the entire world!

Fishing Regulations

Carry your license with you

Residents of Canada should have a fishing-version Outdoors Card and must have a fishing license tag that is attached to it so that it can be considered as valid.

Non Canadian residents should have their basic license form signed and have the correct license tag fastened in order that it can be considered valid.

Keep in mind always that a Outdoors Card or non-resident license card is non-transferable; it grants privileges to you alone. It should be carried with you each time you go fishing.

Note too, that whenever a Conservation Officer requests to see and examine your license, the law requires you to show it.

State and District Regulations

State and District rules control angling in Ontario. The key and major State law with regards to fishing is the Ontario’s “Fisheries Act”; this defends guards and takes care of and save fish and its habitat. Likewise, it controls the fishing seasons, limits to catch, possession, and size, and the gears allowed as well as fish sanctuaries. On the other hand, the “Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act” is the major provincial law that regulates fishing. It is stated in this decree, that fishing licenses are issued.

Wildlife Protection and Preservation Officers

Wildlife Protection Officers have the authority to inspect, search, arrest, and seize under the different act they carry out, together with Ontario’s “Fish and Wildlife Preservation decree” as well as the “Fisheries Regulation and Act”. During the Conservation Officers duty, they may do the following:

1. Ask important questions that are in relation to the inspection they are conducting;

2. Review and examine buildings;

3. Stop and examine a boat, vehicle, or aircraft;

4. Confiscate certain items which are related to the offence that an individual may have done;

5. Search and investigate having a warrant to legalize such search;

6. Search and investigate having no warrant to support the search in situations that require immediate attention and action;

7. Arrest anybody that the Wildlife Preservation Officer supposes and believe has committed, or is on the act of performing, or is about to perform a violation or offence.

Open Seasons

The opening and closing dates of fishing season changes and is determined by the species on the area. It is illegal to try catching a fish for which the season has already been closed, even if one is going to release it after. Do understand that closed seasons protect the fish at time of the year when they are most susceptible especially during spawning.

Unless specially stated, species that are not on the list have a year-round open season.

Kids and Weight Training: When Should They Start?

March 15th, 2009 by Administrator

Copyright 2005 Raymond Kelly

Weight training and exercise in general can be very beneficial to all children. It increases bone density, increases strength, and improves muscular coordination. In the past many people had concerns about children and exercise but now we are much better informed.

What age should they start?
This is more of an ethical question. A child can start training with weights at any age, but the real question is: should they? Providing they have a well-designed program and constant supervision by a qualified trainer they will achieve benefits from weight training. But before you do start your child with weights consider what they are trying to achieve.

If it is to improve their sport, then you will find that concentrating more on the skills of the sport, rather than strength will usually provide faster improvements.

If you are looking to build muscle and strength, then it’s no good starting them with weights until they start producing testosterone. This is usually between 14-17 years.

Making Weight Training Safe for Kids
Make sure your child has a positive experience with exercise by following these guidelines:

All equipment should be safe and inspected regularly for defects.

Training equipment should be located in an uncrowded area.

The child must have the emotional maturity to follow instructions relating to technique and safety.

There must be adequate supervision of the child by an experienced and registered Trainer to ensure correct technique is used.

Training should start with a thorough warm-up and finished with a thorough cool-down.

No weight should be added to the exercise until the child can perform it with correct technique.

Full range of motion must be performed on all exercises. If this cannot be done then the weight is too heavy.

No maximum lifts or competitions should be attempted.

Full body programs are advised. These should be done 2-3 times per week.

The child should perform 2-3 sets of 10-15 repetitions.

The weight should only be increased when the child can perform 15 repetitions with correct technique.

Make It Fun!!!!!

The White Sox Are About To Catch A Break & Cora Is On-Deck

March 11th, 2009 by Administrator

The Chicago Wiite Sox have been playing second fiddle to the Detroit Tigers and their seemingly flawless Stradivarian first-stringers this season.

With almost half of 2006’s games in the books, Detroit has a commanding two game lead in the Central Division.

Did I say a COMMANDING lead?

I did, because the Sox seem unable to catch these resurgent stripers. Recently, the South Siders closed to within a half game, but then they complacently dropped back into the second slot.

But now, a few days before the All-Star break, the Sox can catch up.

They start a three game series with Pittsburgh, which anyone that remembers their great teams of the past, will pity. If the Sox don’t sweep, they’re just asking for trouble.

While they’re drowning the Pirates, the Tigers get to play Houston, which won’t roll over, especially with Clemens on the mound for game one.

On a separate note, Sox manager Ozzie Guillen has been formally reprimanded by the Commissioner’s office for making sexual slurs about Sun-Times columnist Jay Mariotti.

It’s at this time in the season that Ozzie is going to distinguish, himself, for good or bad, from low-key Tigers chief, Jim Leyland.

If Ozzie blows it, and the Sox drop out of Wild Card supremacy, then look for Joey Cora to start calling the shots from the dugout.
